Welcome to The Wayne County Beekeepers Association. We are a Fun, Social, and Educational Club for seasoned, beginner and wannaBEE Beekeepers. Health of the hive and honey production are our primary goals...but the mutual enjoyment of beekeeping is our result. Whether you have two hives or 200 hives or no hives at all and just questions, everyone is welcome. We meet on the first Monday of each month at 7:30 pm at the Wayne County Cooperative Extension Office Park Complex 648 Park Street in Honesdale. See you there!

For those members that are interested in treating organically, here is a recipe for Herb Tea to feed the bees. This recipe comes from the book "Towards Saving the Honeybee" by Guenther Hauk.
INGREDIENTS:
Chamomile
Yarrow
Dandelion
Peppermint
Rue
Hissup
Horsetail
Stinging Nettle
Thyme
DIRECTIONS:
You will use a "big pinch" of each, place in Muslin tea bag. Place in hot water and let seep for a couple of hours. Cool, add sugar and feed to your bees.
There is always a beekeeper that needs a helping hand. If you would like to mentor a new (or not so new) beekeeper please let us know. Please include your name, contact information, where you live, and where you are willing to travel to mentor.
